Today, many Lebensborn children are admitting to their pasts. They have began to look into their former lives, and their parents. They have been looking to the state for compensation for the horrors they suffered postwar. In Norway, after their claims were denied, they began to look international, to the European Court of Human Rights.
Most of the children don't even look like the superhumans Hitler claimed they were. Many don't even have blonde hair or blue eyes anymore. They are just your normal old people. There is nothing that shows them as different physically.
A few have began to share their stories with the world. But there are still many more living in fear of people discovering their parents.
My question to you is is this really any better than what the Nazi's did? It is much, much smaller, but these people have still suffered horrors because of who they were born as. So why is their suffering forgotten? Why do we not teach about what happened to them? Is it because they are still seen as 'Nazi brats?' Are they just quieter? So, just keep it in your mind that the Nazis are not the only awful ones. Anybody can, if they are up to it. The state, the families, those who just stood and watched and judged. Keep that in you mind the next time you say that somebody can''t change. Because they can.
